FD-CBT 1 Ban Huay Hee: A day hike to Doi Pui
Ethnic group: White Karen
It is located about 35 Kms. from Mae Hong Son city to the east. The village is in Mae Hong Son.
Ban Huay Hee offers a day tour & trek to the summit of Doi Pui at 1,722 meters.
Trail head is about 3 kms. from the village. Trail to the summit is surrounded with the conservation forest area that used to be the rotational farming area. Many wild orchids are found in this surrounding forest area. Blooming season is between March and April.
Community also built a base camp where tourists can spend an overnight camp before reaching the summit in the next early morning.
The morning trek is mostly ascended about 2 - 2.5 hours to the summit of Doi Pui.

In the afternoon, trek is descended to the village and it takes about 2.5-3 hrs. On this part of the trek you will pass different type of forest such as former rotational farming area, dry evergreen forest, wild orchid conservation area and the place that local found the wreckage of aircraft.
Once you reach the village, take this opportunity to visit some Karen family and see traditional Karen hand weaving cloth. Some are dyed with natural colors. Afterwards, return to Mae Hong Son town.

FD-CBT 2 Ban Huay Kaew Bon: Rice farmer & nature hike
Ethnic group: White Karen culture - Nature hike
It is located about 30 Kms. from Mae Hong Son city to the west. The village is in Mae Hong Son.
Ban Huay Kaew Bon is one of the traditional White Karen villages. It is located about 35 Kms. from Mae Hong Son city to the south. To travel to this community, we use 4wd only. Ban Huay Kaew Bon offers a day tour & trek through the unspoiled nature area. Trailhead is started from the rice-paddy fields. The morning trek is about 2.5-3 hours. Through the mixed-deciduous forest area where teak woods found and some wild fruit trees. During this trek you will experience how the local Karen gather their foods from nature.
Enjoy your jungle cooking and lunch (1) with the local guide.
In the afternoon, the trek is about 1-1.5 hours to Ban Huay Kaew Bon. Afterwards take a village walk to witness the local way of life and
return to Mae Hong Son town. There are also more activities in rainy season such as rice planting or rice harvest during June—November.

FD-CBT 3 Ban Huay Goong: A small village in the big wood
Ethnic group: White Karen culture
It is located about 20 Kms by road and walk.
CBT Ban Huay Goong offers a day tour & hike through the unspoiled nature area. Trailhead is started from its neighboring village. The morning hike is descended about 1.5 hours to visit Nam Hoo waterfall. Refreshing with the cool water. Continue your hike through beautiful forest area for another 2 hours to Ban Huay Goong.
Packed lunch (1) is provided along the way. After lunch you can enjoy swimming in Mae Samat River.
In the afternoon, we trekked to the road where our driver is. It is about 1.5-2 hrs. On this part of the hike, it is steepest so take short step by step. Total distance is about 3.5 kms. Currently, the path has improved to concrete with the safety rail. Take a break at the viewpoint. Then continue your hike until you reach the road where our driver is waiting to pick you up and return to Mae Hong Son town.

FD-CBT 4 Ban Mae Lana Pang Mapha community & adventures tour
Ethnic group: Tai-Yai
It is located about 60 Kms. from Mae Hong Son city to the north. The village is in Pang Mapha District.
Ban Mae Lana offers a day tour & trek through the limestone mountains area with 3-4 different caverns found. Trailhead is started from the village. The morning trek is about 2.5 hours. Through the mixed-deciduous forest, community forest area and medicinal plantation. Then go into the darkness of Coral cave which is one of the most beautiful caves in this area. For your lunch enjoy Shan foods prepared by the community.

Afternoon continue your trek to rotational farming and village viewpoint before descending to rice paddy-fields. Afterwards return to the village and take a village walk to witness the local way of life such as traditional sesame oil making, a village temple. Say goodbye to a local guide, return to Mae Hong Son.

FD-CBT 5: Ban Jabo / Pang Mapha community & adventures tour
Ethnic group: Black Lahu
It is located about 57 Kms. from Mae Hong Son city to the north. The village is in Pang Mapha District.
Ban Jabo offers a day tour & trek through the limestone mountains area. Trailhead is started from the village. The morning trek is about 2.5 hours. Through the mixed-deciduous forest area where teak woods found and medicinal plantation.
Packed lunch (1) stop at the community pigpen or along the way where you can see the beautiful valley.
Afternoon continue your trek to rotational farming and descend to the rice terrace. Take a short break before ascending to the village. Arrival to the village and take a village walk to witness the local way of life and enjoy experiencing; the traditional Lahu instrument, traditional cloth sewing and bamboo weaving activity. Return to Mae Hong Son.

FD-CBT 6: Ban Pha Mon / Pang Mapha community & adventures tour
Ethnic group: Red Lahu
It is located about 70 Kms. from Mae Hong Son city to the north. The village is in Pang Mapha District.
Depart from your hotel and drive along the beautiful mountain road and make a short stop at Pang Mapha viewpoint for the beautiful view of the mountain valley. Continue your journey to Pa Mai Daeng (Iron Wood forest area) where the trail head starts.
Today's hike is about 4-5 hours. During the trek, witness the existing rotational farming area and conservation forest area. Trail is lead into several descending and ascending to the high mountain and crossing natural creek.
Packed lunch (1) provided during your trek.
Afternoon continue the trek along the mountains, passing the village paddy rice fields and mountain rice farming. Take a little break before getting into
the village. Afterwards, visit village temples, Red Lahu sewing cloth. End of the day, goodbye to local guide.
Return to Mae Hong Son or Pai (about 2 hours’ drive).

FD-CBT 7: CBT Ban Muang Pam / Pang Mapha community & adventures tour
Ethnic group: White Karen
It is located about 75 Kms. from Mae Hong Son city to the north. The village is in Pang Mapha District.
Depart from your hotel (Pai or Mae Hong Son), drive along the beautiful mountain road. Make a short stop at Pang Mapha viewpoint for the beautiful view of mountains valley. Continue your journey to Lod Cave. It is one of the largest caves in northern Thailand. Lod Cave contains 3 large chambers; Giant pillar cave, Dolls cave and Wood coffin cave where you will drift along "Nam Lang stream" on the bamboo raft.
Afterwards, prepare for the hike to Ban Muang Pam.

Afternoon continue the trek along the creeks, passing the village paddy rice fields and take a short break. Upon arrival in the village, experience about Karen traditional culture. Observe different cultural demonstrations; Karen hand weaving cloth, traditional medicine, bamboo weaving, wood carving. At the end of the day, say goodbye to your local guide. Return to Mae Hong Son or Pai (about 2 hours’ drive).

FD-CBT 8: CBT Ban Muang Pon / Khun Yuam community & cultural tour
Ethnic group: Thai Yai (Shan)
It is located about 75 Kms. from Mae Hong Son city to the south. The village is in Khun Yuam District.
Ban Muang Pon offers a soft day tour to experience and witness the beautiful local art & craft, traditional architecture,
local foods of the Shan or Tai-Yai people.
Morning: take a beautiful morning drive along mountain road for 1.5 hours.
Upon arrival meet our local guide at Wat Muang Pon which is the most important place in the community. Afterwards take a village walk tour to witness the local Shan Art and craft with local artisans. Learn how to make “Tam Khon” a Shan Buddhist symbol that used as part of the traditional ceremony.
Then witness how local make the beautiful bamboo weaving hat or “Goob Tai”. Just before your lunch; visit a traditional Tai House and learn how to cook Shan food for your lunch.
Lunch (1): Thai-Yai local dishes
Afternoon: continue to experience and witness the local wisdom through the group of traditional Thai-Yai clothe maker and the handicraft group. Late afternoon say goodbye to a local guide, return to Mae Hong Son.
